The challenge

A large financial institution in Europe wanted to improve the quality of its group company reports and to integrate multiple entities in the field of data management, data governance, and data quality, including the operating model. Starling Consultancy was asked by one of the major suppliers to support them in this ambition by creating a programme plan, building a team, supporting the overall programme, defining the critical success factors and a programme method, and building awareness within the overall programme.

What we delivered

Starling Consultancy created a programme plan including the content required to achieve the business goal. The programme included an assessment of the business requirement, the critical success factors, the governance, the programme method, the necessary resources, and the execution roadmap. In addition to the plan, we were responsible for the day-to-day steering based on Starling Consultancy’s standard working methods. We created a structure that allowed us to detect risks and issues at an early stage and therefore to discuss and carry out the required action. The overall programme also included the right content to be discussed within the steering group.

The outcome

The supplier was able to establish a full team to implement the solution, and the financial institution understood what the challenges were and how they should be tackled.
