Introduction request

Louwman Analytics Team supports Louwman Group with several divisions – Louwman & Parqui, Louwman Mobility, Louwman Care and Toyota Louwman Financial Services – with reporting services, campaign analytics, analytical models and insights on customers, products and services, suppliers & processes.    

Louwman Analytics team had to evolve from mainly BI reporting and database team to an analytics team that could support all divisions and services with forcasting models and insights. Louwman expanded her services in the last years in the consumer and business divisions with new car brands, cycling ( Fietsfabriek), Mobility cards and Care with Mobility aids, home adaptions and vehicle modifications.

Louwman requested to guide the analytics team to the next phase with more focus on real analytics and to improve their support to the Louwman Group divisions.

Challenge

Louwman Analytics team is a central department with a central data platform. Louwman business divisions partly compete with each other to get customer attention and insights. Therefore, business professionals prefer dedicated capacity of the analytics team or they buy external analytics capacity or own build team with a selected number of analytics professionals. Car brands are changing their business model including direct digital customer service.

 Knowledge of Louwman business on how analytics and insights can support business goals is limited. Business has difficulties to formulate their needs and adapt to changing business models in the mobility market. Analytics team needs to expand their skills and capabilities including processes and solutions.  Data management processes are partly implemented and scattered across Louwman Group.  Knowledge on data legislation is limited.

What we delivered

  • Definition of analytical services menu (ist and soll) to support business goals in close cooperation with business
  • Analyze competences & skills, way of working between business and analytics team and analytical solutions to provide the analytical services
  • Workshops on data management processes and identification of gap
  • Improve business demand processes, capacity management, business case management   
  • Input for analytics training (provided by Gibbs Consulting) to expand analytical skills and the build of required analytical models
